  Of all the Powers of Chaos, the daemons of Nurgle are my favourite. I have a large daemon army, and love the juxtaposition of the gregarious, jovial nature of these daemons with their horrific despair inducing appearance. As with all daemons there is a colour palete, in the case of Nurgle this is greens and browns. i have been using this scheme for many years and have amassed a large force of Plaguebearers. The Flesh Hounds of Khorne are crimson hued half-canine, half-reptilian hunting beasts. Their blank-white eyes are hooded beneath hooded brows and their slavering mouths are full of razor sharp fangs. They have blood matted hair running down their backs and across their shoulders and around their necks are great brazen collars, forged at Khorne's feet.  This is the description of the Flesh hounds, I wanted to achieve in my painting. In the Warhammer Lore, the daemon cavalry of Khorne ride to war on Juggernauts. The Juggernauts of Khorne are half daemon half machines, made of bronze and brass with fire for blood. I wanted to capture this description in my painting.   One of the four Chaos gods, is Khorne, who has his own set of daemonic minions. The Bloodletters are the most numerous of these Khornate daemons. I have been an enthusiastic fan of Daemons of Chaos for many years. As such, I bought the Wrath and Rapture box set a few years ago and painted up the Daemons of Khorne. The Daemons of Slaanesh unfortunately have just stayed on the sprue. This year, I have a hobby goal to paint up more miniatures than I buy. As such, I am working through my backlog. I wanted to paint my Daemons of Slaanesh as per the description from the old Realms of Chaos books.  They have creamy, pale skin and large, emerald pools for eyes, but instead of hair, most have horny bone ridges. Instead of hands, their arms end in scythe-like talons, much like a crab's claw. These man-sized Daemons stand upon two legs that end in two-toed feet fitted with black talons.
