Hobby Goals - February 2024
At the time of writing, I only have seven Warhammer Underworlds left to paint. These are:
The Crimson Court, Elathain's Soulraid, Cyreni's Razors, the Shadeborn, Skitterhank's Clawpack, Daggok's Stab-Ladz and Zondara's Gravebreakers.
It most cases, especially the older warbands, I have not painted them as I feel little affinity for the miniatures. I am, however, attempting to finish the whole range this year, so I do not to work through these, in my opinion, less interesting warbands. To this end, I started with Skittershank's Clawpack. Having painted some Skaven recently, I had an idea of how I wanted to paint these miniatures. I started with Krowch't and Skulck. I opted for black cloth on these Night Runners, but as low level Clan Eshin operatives there was still a lot of brown on the miniatures. Next, I moved onto Snyp Padpaw. With the basic colour scheme in my head, I used this miniature to create my How I Paint - Skaven - Clan Eshin guide.
With these three skaven complete, I felt like painting something a little different. My eye was attracted to both the Crimson Court and the various sea beasts of the Idoneth warbands. In the end, I decided to paint the sea beasts: Spinefin, Cephanyr and Duinclaw.
On Saturday the 24th of February, I attended the Agents of Sigmar's second tournament in Redhill, my fourth Warhammer Underworlds tournament. This allowed me to tick off 'Play in a Warhammer Underworlds tournament'.
You can find my report on the event here. Agent's Clash- February 2024
When practising for the tournament, I only used my Mournflight with Force of Frost.
The deck list can be found over on my Nemesis Deck Library.
Overall, even though I was quite busy, I did manage to fit in a good quantity of hobby. With the evening getting lighter, I will be able to get more miniatures painted and I still intend to finish all the Warhammer Underworlds warbands at some point this year, I am aiming for around July.
